North Table

The new starting point offers several options for routes which avoid the steep uphill in the beginning. Begin by heading north from the lot, staying low, and connecting with the regular trail around the north side, clockwise. Here are some ideas for runs of different lenths:
Short - Go right at the first jct, up Mesa Top (the double-track we normally take down), out to E edge of mesa, possibly onto Rim Rock trail, and back.
Medium - Complete the loop, coming back to finish from the N, avoiding the steep hill.
Long - Complete the loop, adding an out-and-back on the Rim Rock trail at the top.

Directions: A parking area is located north of Golden on Colorado Highway 93, just north of Pine Ridge Road. Link
